New Moon [Theatrical Release]
By Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson
see relatedMy Quick Review of New Moon (And yes, it IS possible for me to make this short! haha)
I went to see New Moon today with Twilight_reporter. It was my first time seeing it so of course I don't remember a lot of things from it....I'll have to do a more thorough review later. But here's my take on what I remember:
--The very beginning made me go..."wth?" but as soon as I understood that the granny was Bella, I loved how they portrayed that.
--Jacob's transformation wasn't as cheesy as I thought. Thank goodness.
--The wolves were big, but not big enough. (See Breaking Dawn.)
--Bella actually showed emotion!
--I loved Charlie's comments. =D
--Jane was awesome!
--I loved when Aro stopped torturing Edward to marvel that Bella was willing to sacrifice herself for him. His laugh was awesome.
--Edward didn't take over the movie; thank you!
--Jacob was hot! =D
--The vision where Edward and Bella run together was the worst part of the movie. It was just awful.
--The movie followed the book very well. It just put the movie together in a very different way than how I had interpreted the book.
--Victoria had red hair!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
--I love the scene where Bella is drowning, Jacob pulls her out, and she wipes away Edward's face. I kept thinking of the music video for "Going Under" by Evanescence the whole time.
--I didn't like the music playing when Bella was sitting in the chair and the months went by. (I didn't like the soundtrack to start with, though.) I DID like how they showed the months going by. Very creative.
--ALICE'S YELLOW PORSCHE!!! Loved it!!!

--At the very end of the movie, I yelled, "WHAT THE HECK!?!?!?!?!?!" but it was the perfect way to end the movie. It created suspense and a cliff-hanger that fans will want to conclude by watching Eclipse.
Chris Weitz, I congratulate you on doing an excellent job with New Moon. It was better than Twilight, you got it done in a short amount of time, and you deserve a long vacation. You'll definitely be rich enough to take one.
Have you seen New Moon yet or are you planning to? What did you think? What was your favorite part, and what would you have changed? Comment!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack
By Various Artists
see relatedNew Moon! Who's Excited?
I'm super excited!!!!!! Remember those Twilight journals I blogged about a while back? I got them today at Barnes 'n' Noble.
I love them!
I also got my New Moon T-shirt at Hot Topic today:
It has different scenes on it. =)
I think Twilight_reporter and I would agree that the most random New Moon thing we both saw there was New Moon BandAids. (See the left. We actually saw all of these items.)
Idk if anyone remembers but they did the same thing for Twilight....
I can just picture the commercial for them: It shows the b-day party scene where Bella gets a paper cut, and Edward hands her a New Moon BandAid. Then it shows Jasper happily giving Bella a hug. bahaha
In Hot Topic and/or Barnes 'n' Noble, we saw everything from T-shirts that showed Edward and said, "Why are you so willing to give up your soul?" (see top left) to Bella's dress to her jacket....

...to a pointless leather bracelet that said "Werewolf girl" and just snapped together, to New Moon trading cards to pillowcases to fuzzy blankets to sweatshirts to action figures that looked deformed, to puzzles, to puzzle balls, to Edward's ring and Bella's ring, to all kinds of jewelry, to the calendar, to the Illustrated Movie Companion.
Plus there was way more stuff I don't even remember.
Premiere pics from Monday:
'New Moon' collector's edition of Time Out London magazine that came out November 17th.
Jacob Black Collector's Edition Barbie Doll. I find these to be a bit ridiculous...but they're funny.
This quote by Catherine Hardwick, posted by Time, is getting a LOT of controversy:
"By all accounts, the chemistry between the two leads was intense, maybe too intense. "After I cast him, I told Rob, Don't even think about having a romance with her," Hardwicke says. "She's under 18. You will be arrested." It was the beginning of the real-life are-they-aren't-they, did-they-didn't-they speculation that is now an ongoing subplot of the Twilight story. "I didn't have a camera in the hotel room. I cannot say," Hardwicke says. "But in terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn't happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film. I think it took a long time for Kristen to realize, O.K., I've got to give this a go and really try to be with this person."
ANYWAY....New Moon comes out in 19 minutes!!! Who's excited???

Select Theatres to Play Blockbuster Film at Reduced Ticket Price
Los Angeles, CA October 29, 2009 – Responding to the fans of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, Summit Entertainment announced today that it will re-release TWILIGHT, the first film in the franchise, at select theatres nationwide on November 19th, a day before the highly anticipated release of the movie’s sequel, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. Despite the first film already being on DVD, fans across the nation have been calling out to see the film once again on the big screen and the studio is honoring their request.
Summit is working with exhibitors to screen TWILIGHT one night only with screenings in the evening just before THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON arrives in theatres. Select theatres will offer tickets at a reduced price.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON directed by Chris Weitz and starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be released November 20, 2009. In the film, the romance between mortal and vampire soars to a new level as Bella Swan (Stewart) delves deeper into the mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of—only to find herself in greater peril than ever before. Following Edward Cullen’s (Pattinson) departure from Forks, Washington, Bella discovers his image comes to her whenever she puts herself in jeopardy. In time Bella’s frozen heart is gradually thawed by her budding relationship with Jacob Black (Lautner) who has a supernatural secret of his own.
The TWILIGHT film series tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen, a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together...even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires. The action-packed, modern day vampire love story TWILIGHT, the first film in the series, was released in theatres on November 21, 2008 to a blockbuster reception. The second installment of the film franchise, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, will be released November 20, 2009.
